You will notice a gnome in some of the pictures, he is the Travelocity gnome I seen on Amazing Race and just had to have one. Of course he is smaller than what I thought but he will be going on all our trips, too cute.
We headed out Wednesday and drove to Amarillo and were able to go to a famous steak house that was seen on Man vs Food. We also went to Cadillac Ranch which is cars buried into the ground that has been seen on many shows. People bring spray paint and paint the cars, not sure why but it looked cool. Austin wasn't sure about the spray paint for got the hang of it quick.
We spent the night in Amarillo and got up bright in early and headed out. We went through New Mexico and saw a Volcano and decided to stop.
We drove up and around the outside and then were able to go around inside of it.
We got into Colorado late afternoon and went to see Gracie and meet her family. We haven't seen each other since Austin was in my belly, we were both pregnant at the same time she had her son Jesse a couple of months before I had Austin. Her husband is stationed at the base and is serving in Afganistan.
This was our first day in Colorado and we went to Garden of the Gods. It was so gorgeous, it is a park that you can walk around with these amazaing rocks everywhere. We also went drove around and seen many other sites, it is so gorgeous there and so much to see.
We also went to see caves and a bike park. We still had time so we decided to go to the zoo. It was so funny the chipmunks were all over and they were begging for food.
